What is TechFire?
TechFire is a programme of focused management briefings for IT professionals, from the publishers of TechPro*, Ireland's leading IT journal, and TechCentral.ie, its online home. TechFire briefings are run in a interview format, presented by TechPro editor Paul Hearns, Powerpoint presentations are limited to ten minutes each; the emphasis is on Q&A, discussion and information sharing. End-user experience is a key focus at TechFire meetings. While the cost of these free-to-attend sessions is supported by IT vendors, the emphasis is placed on client implementations of the sponsor's services. The panel discussion, conducted in interview style by the moderator, opens the meeting up to the floor: ensuring a two-way flow of information. Have you a Burning Question you would like to see aired at a TechFire meeting? Are you in the IT industry, interested in sponsoring your own TechFire? (2014 dates are filling up...) Or do you simply have a question for the team? (*the new name for ComputerScope)
